The Mark of a Hero...

Zorro has his 'Z'...
Batman has his spotlight...
...and Doby leaves a pile. A few weeks ago, my faithful companion and I happened to be in the middle of a rather long walk when Doby paused. This may not seem interesting to you; it did not interest me at the time either. Now there are many reasons that this dog may decide to stop on any routine walkabout: another animal, a shadow resembling another animal, another animal's scent, the shadow of another animal's scent....these are all normal occurences. This time however, he decided to arch his back in release mode. Just as Optimus Prime beep boop bops into a truck, Doby transforms into a machine not of mass consumption [as he is my personal vacuum cleaner], but that of mass expulsion. Again, this is not abnormal. This precious steamer, however, was lying on the lawn of a house in my neighborhood....and when I lifted my head, I saw a confederate flag in the window....I knew there was a reason he picked this house. I could see in his eyes that he was thinking, "if I only had opposable thumbs, I would hurl this load right through that window". Doby knew what he had done that day and I love him for it.
